MARCH 2026– Worship Schedule
“Easter-The Sweet Life!” based on Luke 24
We’re Easter people! Our faith in the resurrection makes our lives “sweet!” It gives us hope and purpose as it inspires us into our 290th year of mission and ministry and our 57th year of Easter candy making, here at St. John’s UCC, the spiritual mother and home of Kutztown.
Our 2026 Lenten focus will appropriately be exploring the Easter story, told in Luke’s 24th chapter. Pastor Sanders will host “Sermon Chats” in the church lounge during
the five Sundays of Lent, February 22nd – March 22nd.
March 1st – Second Sunday in Lent
“Road Trip” – Luke 24:13-27 Communion, Keith Brintzenhoff performs.
After worship “Sermon Chat” in lounge.
March 8th – Third Sunday in Lent
“Happy Meal Heartburn”–Luke 24:28-35 Keith Brintzenhoff performs.
After worship “Sermon Chat” in lounge.

March 15th – Fourth Sunday in Lent
“Ghostbusters” – Luke 24:36-43 Irish Hymns with our Senior Choir.
After worship “Sermon Chat” in lounge.
March 22nd – Fifth Sunday in Lent
“Witness Protection” – Luke 24:44-53 Keith Brintzenhoff performs.
After worship “Sermon Chat” in lounge.
HOLY WEEK BEGINS
March 29th – Palm/Passion Sunday
We’ll recount the Passion Story based in Luke’s Gospel. We begin waving our palms and close, bearing His cross, as we enter this week called “Holy.” Amelia Gamble performs.
